Vaginal Tightening and Vaginoplasty

Vaginal Tightening Laser Treatment

Whether you are experiencing a decrease in sexual gratification due to a loss of natural elasticity or your pelvic floor muscles aren't as strong as they once were prior to giving birth, we can help you with that.

Our team can help guide you on the best course of treatment to increase elasticity, strengthen the pelvic floor and tighten your vagina. You deserve a gratifying sex life, better orgasms, peace of mind and less discomfort from a feeling of looseness or bulging.

Our protocol for vaginal tightening involve expert pelvicfloor physiotherapy and revolutionary laser protocols involving two different types of laser energy; the patented Fotona Erbium Smooth mode and NDYag Piano and Frac3 modes. Dr. Murphy has specialized expertise in providing these two types and three modes of laser energy to create the most effective vaginal tightening in a safe, outpatient manner. Maintenance only involves a yearly followup treatment. There is no surgical risk, no scar tissue formation and absolutely no downtime. The same cannot be said of surgery, regardless of how or where it is performed.

IF laser results are not satisfactory and usually only then, would surgery make sense. Dr. Murphy will be more than happy to discuss what that may involve.

Treatment

Pelvic floor physiotherapy includes educating, assessing and providing treatment plans. Call us to book an appointment.

For pelvic floor strengthening, we offer pelvic floor physiotherapy. Our highly trained and experienced pelvic floor physiotherapists specialize in working harmoniously with all other treatments offered at our clinic. You’ll get a well-rounded treatment plan that combines all aspects of expert gynecological care.

For improving elasticity, we offer Fotona IntimaLase laser treatment which is a precise, painless procedure that gently releases energy just beneath the surface of your vaginal canal.

With this treatment, new collagen fibers will begin to grow in your vaginal tissue while existing collagen is stimulated, prompting it to remodel and rejuvenate. The increased collagen will strengthen your vaginal walls, improve elasticity/elastic tightness and boost your ability to create lubrication.

It will also help relieve vaginal atrophy (dryness/painful intercourse) and urinary incontinence.

Standard vaginal laser at Protea Pelvic Floor Clinic always includes laser treatment of the opening of the vagina which helps with some restoration of some elastic tightening, but the effect is dependant on anatomy and injuries sustained. Usually we also a very gentle treatment of the area around and beneath the clitoris, which has been shown in peliminary studies to improve sensation.

To achieve more tightening of the vaginal opening (especially after childbirth stretching), we offer the addition of NDYag laser, OR a surgical procedure called vaginoplasty.

We are the only clinic in Canada offering intravaginal NDYag laser. We have decades of experience with the use of laser and the expertise to offer this safely to patients. You will not find this additional step anywhere else in Canada, mostly because of the resources required to offer this to patients, as well as the fact that a lot more experience and understanding of the pathophysiology of pelvic floor disorders are required, and unfortunately these are in general short supply amongst providers interested in laser treatment for pelvic floor disorders.

Vaginoplasty on the other hand is a relatively minor surgical procedure that does require some stitches and healing time. We typically do not only tighten the entrance of the vagina, but also the vaginal canal. Detail will be discussed in person.

Recovery

Unlike other treatments, our laser procedures do not usually involve injections or tissue removal. As a result, your recovery will require no downtime. More tightening may be obtained through laser vaginoplasty, which involves a minor procedure with minimal downtime.

After vaginal laser, many women report improvement in as little as a few weeks. However, it generally takes about four to six months for the vagina to fully rejuvenate existing collagen, grow new collagen and a rich new network of healthy blood vessels. In contrast, vaginoplasty leads to immediate changes, but with some time for healing required.

Results

You’ll experience great improvement in vaginal tightness and sexual gratification. A very high percentage of women report an improvement.

Our laser treatments are approved by Health Canada and backed by research to be effective and safe. In many cases, the Fotona IntimaLase laser ranks superior to traditional treatments, including surgery because it offers the same results without any of the usual complications. Protea Pelvic Floor Clinic is at the forefront of bringing new laser wavelengths to internal gynecological applications. These new, safe and exciting possibilities are the hallmark of a brighter future for premium gynecological healthcare.
